Google Earth provides a way for anyone to create one or more placemarks on a map, choose the elevation and point of view, place descriptive text, a photograph, web page link, etc. and share this with others immediately via an email. People can also send these files to the Google Earth Community where they may eventually be incorporated into one of the permanent layers available to every Google Earth User. Several of our files noted below were submitted to the "Environment and Conservation" and "Nature and Geography" sections, for example.
In our Google Earth Tour Gallery we have placed several KML or KMZ files for projects we have produced and are still developing. You can download these and view them with the Google Earth Browser.
Using the Google Earth Professional program we have also created several High Definition (HD) QuickTime movies that fly down on a Google Earth map and merge with HD video and slide shows. Please visit Gary's video blog to view about a dozen of these.
