Lower Bass Canyon
| Bass Canyon flows into Hot Springs Canyon just downstream from this site. The Muleshoe Cooperative Management Area has been rested from cattle grazing for over 12 years. The streams have sufficient vegetation and the ecological processes are functioning in a healthy manner. The white barked trees are Sycamores, a favorite hangout for Coatimundis. | Saguaro cactus can be seen just above the creek. These cactus, that can live to be over 100 years old, often provide excellent nesting cavities for birds when Gila woodpeckers peck holes in their rotten areas. |
